Button Cell Batteries accepted for recycling at 1PC

Description

Small coin/button batteries from watches, remotes, hearing aids, toys, and electronics.

Considerations before bringing it

Button cells are small, easy to spill, and can short when stored loose with metal objects.

Preparation notes

Tape both sides. A long strip of packing tape works well for lining them up safely.

Data and privacy prep

This item does not normally store customer data.

General data note only. Most versions do not store customer files, but smart, networked, enterprise, or modified versions may retain settings, account links, removable media, or configuration data.

Best way to bring it to us

Tape both sides or place button cells on a strip of packing tape so they cannot short against each other.

Accessories and related parts

Common accessories or related parts: Small devices, battery holders.

Accessory handling: Devices accepted separately if electronic.

Battery pricing

$5 per lb for all other accepted battery types, billed in 1 lb minimum increments.

Safe handling note

General safety guidance only, not legal, safety, or transport compliance advice. Research handling for your specific battery type and follow manufacturer/local/state/federal guidance. Tape exposed terminals when practical, keep batteries dry and cool, prevent crushing or shorts, and use a sturdy nonconductive container. Contact 1PC first for swollen, leaking, hot, punctured, fire-damaged, recalled, or questionable batteries.

What happens after drop-off

Batteries are isolated from mixed electronics and routed through appropriate battery recycling channels.
